Property Details

Lazy Triple Creek Ranch lies north of Teton Valley in one of Idaho’s most dramatic landscapes. Bordered on two sides by the Big Hole Mountain Range of the Bridger-Teton National Forest, the 2,200-acre property is a well-protected retreat and a sportsman’s paradise.  It was developed with the shooting sports in mind, however, the diverse range of available activities will not only excite sportsmen but their families as well.

The ranch was originally a homesteaded cattle ranch and maintains the feel of the old west, but with all of the finest ranch amenities, including world-class clay courses, rifle, pistol ranges and a 9,000 sqft lodge. Cutthroat and brook trout live in the property’s creeks, including Canyon Creek “the most important spawning creek in the lower Teton River.” The ranch and adjacent National Forest provide excellent habitat for big game animals including deer, elk and moose. On the plateaus there are over 400-acres of barley harvested each year in addition to dedicated food plots providing feed for upland birds. In the heart of the property lies three acres of pastureland with a creek, making the spot ideal for horses.

Set high on one of the property’s four plateaus is the main lodge. Built as a family retreat, it takes in the vast vistas of forested canyons, rolling meadows and big skies. The lodge’s main room with its log beams and stone fireplaces has a decidedly inviting, western feel. The main room provides the perfect gathering place to share stories after a shoot or to relax and have a cocktail before dinner. There are 9 comfortable guest bedrooms. The professional kitchen, exquisitely laid out with new appliances and spacious granite countertops, has been used by celebrity chefs to prepare meals. The spacious decks with expansive views of mountains, canyons and fields provide a perfect place for meals and outdoor events.

A MARKSMAN’S HAVEN

The ranch is set up for high-end bird-shooting combining European traditions with Western sensibilities. Native sharp-tailed and Ruffed grouse inhabit the ranch. Pheasants and chukar are released each season for European-style driven shooting and walk-up shooting over professionally trained dogs. Depending on the drive, birds can be presented to a line of eight guns between 20 to 50 yards high. The ranch also has a dog kennel with 15 runs.

The ranch has a 14-station sporting clays course, trap and skeet facilities, a five-stand, a grouse butt simulating incoming birds, a quail station with low outgoing birds, and several high, overhead driven bird simulations with various degrees of difficulty. All together there are over 70 Promatic traps incorporating a range of activities suitable for beginners and challenging for advanced shooters; you will not get bored shooting clays at Lazy Triple Creek.

There are two formal rifle ranges on the ranch. The first features a covered 8 point firing line with stable shooting benches and portable rests to provide the pinnacle of accuracy for the shooter.  The second range features impact targets from 600 to 1400 yards and beyond to challenge the accomplished shooter with unique terrain and atmospheric conditions.

The pistol range has 8 covered shooting positions, each with a portable, stable shooting bench.  Lights on the range accommodate shooting in the evenings and at night.

With world-class sporting opportunities, dramatic landscapes, luxurious improvements, and vast acres of native grasses and crops, Lazy Triple Creek embodies the real west.
