You can fish any of five blue-ribbon streams, hunt, see a show, or dine out and be back home in your totally private sanctuary for bedtime.
Wildlife is abundant and diverse including turkey, whitetail and mule deer, elk, bear, and virtually every other critter found in Rocky Mountain ecosystems. No doubt this is because the third largest wilderness area outside Alaska is just three miles west and directly accessible from the ranch by ATV or horseback. The combination of the Selway-Bitterroot and the Frank Church River of No Return Wilderness areas comprise a five million acre wild area. One of the largest elk herds in the United States calls the wilderness home and it also contains a healthy population of bighorn sheep.
Two creek-fed ponds with self-sustaining populations of cutthroat are ideal for teaching youngster to fish.
Improvements include an 8,850+ square foot Tuscan-style home built in 2011, equestrian facilities, guest facilities, equipment maintenance sheds, a large workshop, and a rustic cabin.
There are options for agricultural operations. Today, 120 acres are irrigated with sprinklers including a pivot, all of which are gravity fed. Currently the ranch produces and sells hay but cattle have also been raised here.
One Horse Creek Ranch is not a fixer-upper. The buildings have all of the latest conveniences and the fields and forests are meticulously maintained. The current ranch manager is willing to stay with the ranch, which makes for a trouble-free transition to a new owner. He is fully capable of running the ranch with minimal supervision. You can turn the key and enjoy!
