Bachelor’s Degree, Spanish
University of Tennessee at Chattanooga
Top Producer for his firm in 2009-2010, and consistently one of the top producing brokers, year to year.
Carlos grew up in Chattanooga, TN where he spent a great deal of his time fishing the eastern streams of the Southern Appalachians and Great Smokey Mountains. Following his graduation from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga with a double major in Economics and Spanish, his passion for fishing and the outdoors would later take him to Jackson Hole, WY and the famed trout waters of the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem. Upon his arrival in 2001 Carlos attended the Professional Western Rivers Guide School hosted by World Cast Anglers, where he was offered a position on their guide staff upon completion of the course and worked his way up to the top ranks of senior guides. Carlos spent eight years guiding the trophy trout streams of the region, primarily the South Fork of the Snake and Teton rivers in Idaho, and the Snake River in Jackson, Wyoming.
Looking to merge his passion for fishing and hunting into a long-term professional career, Carlos joined the Live Water crew in 2004. As one of the original “one office entity” brokers, he has helped Live Water grow to the company it is today. Originally from Colombia, S.A., Carlos comes from a long line of Cebu cattle ranchers in his family, along with breeders and trainers of Colombian Paso Fino horses. Throughout his youth he spent many summers on his uncles’ ranches building a great admiration and respect for the ranching and horseman lifestyle. This background along with his passion for fishing, hunting and the outdoors made him a natural fit in this unique industry and have helped pave the way to many successful years as a ranch broker.
Carlos resides in the south end of Teton Valley in Victor, Idaho with his loving wife Hilary, their three children, bird dog, horses and two lazy cats. He enjoys spending time in the outdoors with his family, floating down rivers, camping and traveling. Other passions include fly fishing, waterfowl and upland bird hunting, big game hunting and riding horses.
