Grizzly Gulch is a stunning mountain property with two wild creeks, timber and big mountain views. The property is located in Warm River, 12 miles east of Ashton, Idaho, and 35 miles north of Driggs. It is bordered by national forest and State of Idaho lands. Comprised of 160 deeded acres, the ranch enjoys over ¾ mile of trophy fly fishing. Robinson Creek and Rock Creek converge on the property with excellent wild trout fishing on the deeded land with miles of additional fishing on the adjacent national forest. Both creeks originate in Yellowstone National Park, which is 7 miles to the northeast. Robinson Creek joins the Warm River 4 miles downstream of the property, and it immediately flows into the Henry’s Fork of the Snake River, one of the West’s most storied fisheries. The property is a mix of natural riparian zones along Rock Creek and Robinson Creek and high timbered ridges looking over the respective drainages. The highest point of elevation is Huckleberry Ridge, which divides the two creek drainages. Huckleberry Ridge is forested with aspen and conifer trees and affords views to the south and the east including views of the majestic Teton Range. Grizzly Gulch represents a truly wild setting with close proximity to town and unrivaled recreational access to the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem.

Antique Rifle Hunting
LWP Broker, Craig Janssen was recently featured in an article in Sports Afield magazine about hunting big game with antique rifles. In the Custom Shop column, Craig is interviewed about his passion for using vintage rifles while hunting pronghorn antelope and deer, along with his family’s affinity for quality, antique guns over more modern hunting rifles. “Dad had a keen eye for quality and helped me to see and appreciate fine things, including American custom rifles.” Craig is doing his best to pass that appreciation down to his own kids.
To Craig, it helps to make hunting ‘the most exciting experience you can imagine,’ and gives the hunter a more intimate connection with his weapon. Enjoy the full double rifle article here.
Learning to Fish
9-year old Ethan Cardall is learning to fly fish at one of the best places in Wyoming, T Cross Ranch. The ranch sits on 160 acres outside of Dubois, Wyoming and contains over 1 mile of private fishing on the Horse Creek. The creek is heavily populated with brown, rainbow and Yellowstone cutthroat trout, and anglers come back to the creek year after year to fish.
With its headwaters originating a few miles north of the ranch, Horse Creek bisects the property and is famous for its natural population of brook trout. Managed carefully over the years, this unique fishery is known for its abundant populations of brown, rainbow and most recently Yellowstone cutthroat trout. With over a mile of pristine water, the ranch offers excellent private fishing where 16 to 18-inch trout are common. Horse Creek offers exceptional wade fishing both on the property and in the surrounding National Forest. In addition, other tributaries of the Wind River are nearby and offer exciting trout fishing.
Beckett’s Blog for Serious Fun
Last Saturday I was fishing with my two pals Nico and Max. Nico has a hilarious sense of humor. Max is a funny, little rascal who always is there to help, mess around, or be fun. Spencer was our kind and helpful fishing guide.
We had an exciting day on the Green River. Our weather conditions were warm and sunny. The water that day was very clear. Not many of the spots on the Green were murky. There was a big hatch on the water, but no fish were coming up to eat so we fished nymphs.
We caught 3 rainbow trout in the morning, each of us caught one. Halfway through the day Max caught an 18-inch rainbow trout. Going into the end of the day we were right next to the take-out spot. I was on the front of the boat with the rod. I was casting into the foam where the fish normally are. I was stripping in slowly, when…the spectacular brown trout jumped out of the water and ate the fly! I set the hook. I knew I had that brown trout. It was more than 20 inches and a strong fighter.
I think after that exciting day, all of us are the happiest anglers ever. We all caught fish and had a very enjoyable time.
