Time on the Water

[widget id="custom_html-30"]

When the fishing is slower on the South Fork, you think, oh no what’s wrong with the fishery. Normally, it is a remarkable, high-caliber, exciting action river. But then you just realize when it’s slower, you have to be patient because the fish are working up an appetite, and you are working at your fly landing just-so on the glassy water.

Time on the Water 1

We laughed at ourselves until lunch was over, then took about a four-boat length float down to the nearest best riffle, and the fish were on. On both sides of the boat! We camped out there, and my son caught four beauties back to back. I landed several in the name of the beautiful girls with me, Loie and Leisel. They were happy to smile with the trout.
