Achievements:
For more than two decades, Wyoming native Toby Griffith has dedicated his career to the land โ representing the acquisition and sale of some of the Westโs most significant legacy ranch properties. A graduate of the University of Wyoming with a degree in Business, Toby has owned and operated a successful Wyoming-based business for more than 24 years. With over 23 years of experience in ranch and recreational real estate, he has earned the trust of multi-generational ranching families, legacy landowners, and private clients seeking discretion and expertise at the highest level. His career includes the successful representation of numerous generational holdings and iconic properties, including Wyomingโs Antlers Ranch and the historic Pitchfork Ranch in 2026.
While he has closed transactions in Montana, Colorado, Idaho, and South Dakota, Toby is a licensed Wyoming real estate broker whose roots and reputation are firmly grounded in the stateโs ranching heritage. Many of his transactions involve confidential representation, complex ownership structures, and properties held within families for generations. Tobyโs understanding of ranch real estate extends well beyond contracts and closings. He has personally managed ranches across Wyoming, Montana, South Dakota, and Patagonia, Argentina, with an emphasis on wildlife enhancement, fisheries development, grazing programs, and cattle operations. This hands-on management experience gives him rare insight into what makes a ranch not only valuable โ but operationally sound, ecologically sustainable, and worthy of long-term stewardship.
Earlier in his career, Toby guided big game hunts throughout the western United States, Mexico, and Argentina before serving as North American Manager for a leading international hunting and booking agency. In that role, he negotiated complex cross-border and Indigenous agreements, including contracts in Canadaโs Nunavut Territory and with tribal entities in Mexico and across the United States. This experience sharpened his ability to navigate high-level negotiations with discretion, cultural awareness, and strategic precision.
In addition, Toby spent five years in commercial banking analyzing corporate financial statements for credit approval and structuring commercial loans. This financial background provides a distinct advantage when advising clients in sophisticated, high-value ranch transactions involving land, water rights, mineral estates, conservation considerations, and multi-entity ownership.
Known for his honesty, loyalty, and unwavering discretion, Toby specializes in private client representation and complex legacy transactions involving land, water, and mineral rights. His lifelong passion for wildlife, fisheries, cattle, and horses โ combined with global hunting and fishing experience across five continents โ gives him a rare and authentic perspective in Western land brokerage.
Personal:
Toby, a Wyoming native and graduate of the University of Wyoming, is not only a business owner in his home state but also a passionate outdoorsman. His love for big game hunting and fly fishing has taken him across the globe. Among his many adventures, Toby has embarked on month-long hunts in Eastern Africa to pursue dangerous game, guided red deer hunts in Argentina, fly fished in remote rivers in New Zealand, dived the Caribbean Reef in Central America, and even negotiated polar bear contracts with the native Inuit in the remote north Arctic. When he’s not pursuing his outdoor passions, Toby cherishes spending quality time with his family, friends, and his dog Ozzi at his idyllic spot along the Wood River in Wyoming.
